ActorsLink is a platform that enables UK actors to create professional profile websites to showcase their showreels, content, and professional links in a modern, visually appealing manner.

2. Our Service

ActorsLink provides actors with tools to:

• Create professional profile websites
• Display showreels, images, and embedded content
• Showcase skills, CV credits, and reviews
• Link to external professional content and services
• Provide contact information for professional opportunities

Our service is designed exclusively for UK actors for legitimate professional purposes.

3. Subscription and Payment

ActorsLink operates on a subscription basis at £5 per month. By subscribing, you agree to:

• Pay the monthly fee in advance
• Automatic renewal unless cancelled
• Accept that fees are non-refundable except as required by law

Account Restrictions: If payment fails, your account will be restricted to display limited content. After 30 days of non-payment, we reserve the right to delete your account and content.

You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period.

4. User Content and Ownership

Your Ownership: You retain full ownership of all content you upload or link to on ActorsLink. We simply provide the structure and platform for you to display your content.

License to Us: By using our service, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to display, store, and transmit your content solely for the purpose of providing our service.

Third-Party Platforms: When linking to content on YouTube, Vimeo, Spotify, or other platforms, you must comply with their respective terms of service.

5. Copyright and Content Rights

User Warranties and Responsibilities

By uploading or linking to video or image content on this platform, you warrant that:

• You own all rights to the content or have explicit permission from rights holders
• Your content consists of brief clips or showreels for legitimate professional purposes
• You will not upload full episodes, extended scenes, or substantial portions of copyrighted works
• You will comply with the terms of service of hosting platforms (YouTube, Vimeo, etc.)

You agree to indemnify and hold Exposure Web Design Ltd harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your uploaded content.

Fair Use for Professional Purposes

We recognise that actors have legitimate professional needs to showcase their work. Brief clips and showreels used for professional promotion may constitute fair dealing under UK copyright law. However, this does not override the rights of copyright holders.

Takedown and Removal Policy

We respect intellectual property rights. If you believe content infringes your copyright:

• Contact us at legal@actors.link with details of the alleged infringement
• We will promptly investigate and remove disputed content within 48 hours
• We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts for repeated violations

Content removal decisions are at our sole discretion.

Image Credits and Photographer Rights

We encourage actors to properly credit photographers for their work. Professional photography is a creative service that deserves recognition.

For Photographers: If you hold copyright to an image displayed on ActorsLink and wish to:

• Add a photo credit - contact us at legal@actors.link with proof of copyright and we will add appropriate attribution
• Request removal - contact us at legal@actors.link with proof of copyright and details of the image in question

For Actors: We strongly recommend crediting photographers for their work. This builds goodwill in the industry and respects the creative contributions of photography professionals.

6. Prohibited Content

Users must not upload, link to, or display content that:

• Contains graphic violence, explicit sexual content, or disturbing imagery
• Promotes illegal activities or hate speech
• Infringes third-party intellectual property rights
• Violates any applicable laws or regulations
• Contains personal information of others without consent
• Is defamatory, harassing, or abusive

Violation may result in immediate account suspension and content removal.

7. Data Protection and Privacy

We collect minimal personal data (name and email address) which is stored securely through Clerk. We process this data in accordance with UK GDPR and our Privacy Policy.

You have the right to:

• Access your personal data
• Correct inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your data
• Object to processing of your data
• Data portability

8. Service Availability

We will do our best to ensure ActorsLink is available and functioning properly. However, we do not guarantee uninterrupted service and may need to perform maintenance or updates that temporarily affect availability.

• Fail to pay subscription fees (after 30-day grace period)
• Upload prohibited content
• Engage in abusive or illegal behaviour

You may terminate your account at any time through your account settings.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

• Exposure Web Design Ltd provides this service “as is” without warranties
• We are not liable for any indirect, consequential, or special damages
• Our total liability shall not exceed the fees paid by you in the 12 months preceding the claim
• We are not responsible for content hosted on third-party platforms
• Users are solely responsible for their uploaded content and its consequences

Nothing in these terms excludes our liability for death, personal injury, or fraud.

11. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will email registered users about significant changes. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms. The date of last update is shown at the top of this page.

12. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by English law. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
